Caring and Respect for Self and Others
This highlights a winter session of a really fun Zumba program at The Waverly YMCA in Baltimore, Maryland and a resource to assist in increasing one’s healthy habits. The mix of grandmothers down to pre-teens having a blast exercising illustrates how impactul movement and other ways to nurture your wellness is this winter. The Waverly YMCA Zumba class meets several times a week. The leader, Kirsten Ledford (pictured in the front) has an extensive international dance career and served as an ambassador of dance. We love that our Director of Child, Adolescent and Young Adult Services at BHA, Maria Francesca Rodowski-Stanco, MD (pictured on the far left) enjoys this fun way to move her body and increase wellness. January is World Health Esteem Month and this is one way to practice health esteem as a skill through giving energy as highlighted in the article. This group is spreading lots of positive energy and exemplifying the mind resilience’s core concept of caring and respect for self and others.
